SPS SIGNATURE PROGRAM
This 2-day course is designed to provide the in-depth technical knowledge required to work safely when potentially exposed to risks of fall hazards. The goal is to expand delegates’ awareness and familiarity with their duties, responsibilities, safe work procedures and best practices.
Delegates will acquire hands-on experience on appropriate donning of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Working at Height (WAH) application in our uniquely crafted practical session.
The program objectives are:
Overview of the relevant legislations, requirements, and standard requirements.
1. Understanding the roles and responsibilities in Working at Height.
2. Ability to conduct and differentiate types of risk assessment to related work activities.
3. Ability to implement appropriate control measures to eliminate and reduce the risk of serious injury or harm.
4. Acquire the knowledge, abilities, and skills required to perform Fall Protection procedures safely and effectively.
5. Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective Fall Protection Program (FPP)
6. Implementation of fall protection solutions or programs that are appropriate and effective for each work environment.
7. Developing skills and competency to:
i. familiarization with working at height
ii. planning and familiarization with Fall Arrest System (FAS)
iii. appropriate selections and applications of equipment.
This 2-day program is designed to highlight the importance of energy control, elements of an effective system, applications for energy isolation Lockout Tagout (LOTO) to safeguard personnel performing service or maintenance activities from the unexpected energising or accidental start-up of machinery and equipment, or the release of hazardous energy.
Program implementation, safe work procedures and communication are the foundational elements that drive lockout compliance.
This course objective will help delegates to develop skills and knowledge of the followings:
i. Ability to conduct hazard identification for potential risks or hazards, assess the risk and implement appropriate and effective control measures to eliminate and reduce the risk of severe injury or death.
ii. Increasing awareness of the risks associated with an energy source, machinery, and electrical hazard.
iii. Explains the importance of LOTO in protecting the safety of employees.
iv. Acquire the knowledge, abilities, and skills required to perform Lockout Tagout (LOTO) safely and effectively.
v. Able to develop, implement, and maintain an effective Lockout Tagout (LOTO) System.
vi. Able to select and implement Lockout Tagout (LOTO) System or solutions that are appropriate and effective for each work environment.
This course provides a comprehensive of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) principles and their application in the design of work, equipment, and workplace hazard exposures. This course includes the identification of health and safety relevant to the hazards and risks associated with activities and highlights best working practices with the objectives:
i. Define and highlights the importance of PPE in protecting the safety of employees
ii. Understanding the effective PPE program and its implementation to achieve its OSH objectives.
iii. Able of developing, implement, monitor, and sustain an effective Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Program, system, and procedures.
iv. Acquire the technical know-how, skills, and standard requirements on appropriate PPE selection, application, and solutions for each unique work environment.
v. Ability to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate and effective control measures to eliminate and reduce the risk of serious injury or death.
vi. Increasing awareness on the importance of proper application of PPE, fit use, and care.
