Environment Impact Aspect Assessment
Under the Environmental Quality (Prescribed Activities) (Environmental Impact Assessment) Order 2015 where it is mandatory to conduct the Environmental Impact Aspect Assessment for new proposed development projects. Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is one of the integral parts of planning and development tools established to identify, predict and evaluate potential environmental impacts and mitigation measures in the early stages of any proposed development projects. It enhanced productivity and harmony between the environment and human activities by preventing or eliminating damage to the environment such as buffer zone, air pollution, water pollution, geology, hydrology, social and cultural, ecology, land valuation, etc. EIA assessment is to be conducted by a certified and approved registered consultant with the Department of Environment (DOE). SPS experts have vast experience in strategic and technical planning and environmental expertise to meet your EIA needs. We offer a complete, integrated service covering all phases of development, starting from master planning to EIA, conducting the assessment to construction environmental management plans. Our approach is to focus on the EIA key issues by taking appropriate control to reduce the project risk and increase the Return of Investment (ROI) of the project by working as part of your organization’s integrated team to: Create a project strategy by identifying the key critical issue, project risk and valuation. Conduct initial project consultation to define the project concept, project scope, legal compliance and adoption of best practice standards. Recommend sustainable mitigation measures and design-inn solutions. Develop and establish Environmental policy. |
Environment Monitoring Assessment
The main objective of environmental monitoring is to anticipate, manage, minimise and prevent any potential risks to the environment from the organization’s business activities. This monitoring is done by characterising the existing environmental quality and recommending appropriate actions to address the current and potential environmental issues to ensure compliance with all relevant environmental standards and legal requirements. Environmental monitoring will provide critical data on the organization’s current environmental status. Data generated will be analysed, and categorised where recommended control measures are prioritised in a comprehensive report. |
Air Quality Assessment

An Air Quality Assessment isis an assessment undertaken to establish the baseline air quality required for any proposed development that may be impacted by or impacts air quality levels. An outdoor air quality assessment can either be a simple or detailed air quality screening assessment involving dispersion modelling. What type of air quality assessment required is subject to several factors like the size of the development, its proposed location and the extent of current knowledge about levels of pollutants close to the site. All our Air Quality Assessments undertaken following the Environmental Quality Act 1974. The monitoring of air quality measures air pollutants such as gasses and particles. The monitoring enables the improvement of air quality through the design of buildings and the control and implementation of mitigation measures. Improving air quality is crucial in reducing the negative health impacts and providing a better quality of life. An air quality assessment can either be a screening assessment or a detailed air quality impact assessment, presented as either a standalone report or as a technical chapter within a wider scope of submission document, such as an Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) A comprehensive assessment report includes the following: i. a description of baseline conditions and how these could change; ii. relevant air quality concerns; iii. the assessment methods to be adopted and any requirements around verification of modelling air quality; iv. sensitive locations; v. the basis for assessing impact and determining the significance of an impact; vi. construction phase impact; and/or vii. acceptable mitigation measures. |
Environmental Legal Compliance Audit
An environmental legal compliance audit is a tool comprising a systematic, documented, periodic and objective evaluation of how well an organization’s environmental management and system are performing to safeguard the environment from business activities against legal and other requirements. The compliance audits allow organisations to quantify and evaluate environmental performance and ensure environmentally sustainable business operations and transparency for stakeholders in the interest of the organization’s environmental impact. Our experienced auditors will prepare a detailed audit report with recommendations on best practice control measures and necessary corrective actions to provide a basis for organization attestations and support proactive management initiatives. This report provides the management with a concise roadmap to the leaders with analytical data and information relating to environmental and safety program performance, risks, and emerging challenges. |
